What Simmers Love About The Planners

FAQ

I totally get it, money doesn’t fall from trees (packs unfortunately neither 😅). You could set up your own template in an empty Goodnotes file or OneNote notebook for free. Or you could use my templates which were made with lots of love and detail by me, a 20+ year Sims veteran who knows exactly what Simmers need. Will save you hours of fiddling with settings so you can start planning the best lives of your Sims now.

It’s a one-time payment for a planner with templates you can duplicate and use for infinite save files and stories. The planner(s) will be your companion for the hundreds of Sim sessions ahead of you, help you feel more connected to your Sims along the way, and ultimately stick with your save files. 💛

You wanna open the game and just have fun. And my planners help you do just that! The planning pages help give your Sims and gameplay direction, so that you’re not overwhelmed by all the options in the game. The digital planners come with a ton of useful templates, but you can pick and choose which ones to use, if any.

It’s actually super relaxing to journal about your Sim’s day after playing. And the notes you take during and after your gaming sessions will make it easier to jump right in the next time you open up the game.

And time? Well, with all your Sims stories documented and organized, you won’t waste any of it trying to jog your memory when you return to the game, whether it’s after a day or the inevitable bi-monthly hiatus. 😅

The biggest difference between the Digital Sim Life Planner (DSLP) and Sim Chronicles for OneNote (SCfO) is where you’ll use them. The DSLP is used on a tablet with a stylus, while the OneNote template is cross-platform compatible, since the free app OneNote it is made for is available on PC, Mac, Android and iOS.

The content is similar for the most part, for example each feature monthly, weekly and daily pages unique to the way time works in the game. They also both have world trackers, Sim profiles and templates for memory albums.

Each planner comes with its own unique templates as well, for example the DSLP has a template to track life stage goals, while the SCfO has more templates geared towards saving lore and family history. SCfO also has templates for The Sims 2 and Sims 3 Sim profiles.

DSLP is probably best for tracking a single family or Sim and especially great for role-playing. SCfO is great if you want to build a Wikipedia-style registry of your Sims and track the history of entire save files.

Sure thing! The Sim Chronicles For OneNote or printed Sim Planners can be used to track your Sims 2 and Sims 3 gameplay as well!

A lot of the templates in the Digital Sim Life Planner apply to any Sims game. I recommend getting the Flex version, since these time pages are undated and open-ended.

To get screenshots from your Windows PC to your iPad you can use iCloud as the middle man. You can install ‘iCloud for Windows’ on your PC for free.

Once iCloud is installed, you’ll find iCloud Photos in the left hand sidebar whenever you open the File Explorer window on your PC. From there you can simply copy any images (sticker PNGs, Sims screenshots, etc.) you’d like to use directly into iCloud Photos.

Once you’ve added the images, they will take a couple of seconds to sync to the cloud. Then you can easily access them via the photos feature in Goodnotes. 😊

The Digital Sim Life Planner is an interactive PDF, so in theory it could work with any PDF annotation app. It was designed to be used on a tablet though, so I cannot guarantee the best experience on PC or Mac.

Instead, I recommend buying the Sim Chronicles for OneNote which is compatible across all devices. Prefer something handheld? The printed Sim Planner is a fan favorite. 💛

Yes! I’ve created a support hub with tutorials and videos on how to install, set up, and customize your new digital planner. If you need more assistance and have questions, you can always send me a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!
